Diminacid

Indications:

Mode of Action: Diminacid Capsule is a combination of two medicines: Domperidone and Rabeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic which works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing the food to move more easily through the stomach. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) which works by reducing the amount of acid in the stomach which helps in the relief of acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

SIDE EFFECTS OF DIMINACID CAPSULE:

Most side effects do not require any medical attention and disappear as your body adjusts to the medicine. Consult your doctor if they persist or if you’re worried about them

• Dryness in mouth
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Flatulence
• Weakness
• Flu-like symptoms

HOW TO USE DIMINACID CAPSULE:

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. DIMINACID CAPSULE is to be taken empty stomach.

HOW DIMINACID CAPSULE WORKS:

  Alcohol

  Caution is advised when consuming alcohol with DIMINACID CAPSULE . Please consult your doctor.

  Pregnancy

  DIMINACID CAPSULE may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby. Your doctor will weigh the benefits and any potential risks before prescribing it to you. Please consult your doctor.

• 

  Breast feeding

  DIMINACID CAPSULE is probably unsafe to use during breastfeeding. Limited human data suggests that the drug may pass into the breastmilk and harm the baby.

• 

  Driving

  DIMINACID CAPSULE may decrease alertness, affect your vision or make you feel sleepy and dizzy. Do not drive if these symptoms occur.

• 

  Kidney

  DIMINACID CAPSULE should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of DIMINACID CAPSULE may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

• 

  Liver

  Diminacid Capsule should be used with caution in patients with liver disease. Dose adjustment of Diminacid Capsule may be needed. Please consult your doctor.

Use of Diminacid Capsule is not recommended in patients with moderate and severe liver disease.

WHAT IF YOU FORGET TO TAKE DIMINACID CAPSULE ?

If you miss a dose of Diminacid Capsule, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
